White Sauce – “The Basics”

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. butter (#180140)
  • 4 cups Milk
  • ¼ cup Flour (#100150)
  •  Salt & Pepper (#110600 & 450430)

Directions:

  1. Melt butter.  Whisk in flour and cook for one minute.
  2. Slowly add milk, whisking vigorously.  Simmer for 5 minutes or until thick and smooth. 
  3. Season to taste.  Cover to prevent a skin from forming.
